What is AccountEdge Connect?
AccountEdge Connect is the name for our add-on service that can be accessed via a Web Browser. Formerly this service was called AccountEdge Cloud.
AccountEdge Connect is a collaboration tool for remote employees/vendors or those in your office who don't want or need AccountEdge Pro on their computers. While AccountEdge Connect works across all devices and we're consistently adding functionality, it does not have the full functionality that AccountEdge for desktop does. AccountEdge Connect allows you to enter sales, record purchases and bills, email invoices so customers can pay online, spend and receive money, enter time sheets and activity slips, and manage your contacts. AccountEdge Connect can be thought of as a satellite to AccountEdge Pro on your desktop.
What AccountEdge Connect is Not
AccountEdge Connect is not a standalone accounting solution. It is not for running reports, payroll, or general accounting (currently).
Who is AccountEdge Connect for?
AccountEdge Connect makes a lot of sense for people who bill based on time. Lawyers, graphic designers, freelance IT support are all ideal users. It's also a great solution if you have someone who just handles customer invoice creation but works outside of the office.
What is the difference between AccountEdge Connect and AccountEdge Mobile?
Both are collaboration tools that sync with AccountEdge Pro on your desktop. AccountEdge Connect has more features than AccountEdge Mobile. AccountEdge Connect is a browser based subscription service that works on any device, while AccountEdge Mobile only works with iOS.
AccountEdge Connect syncs directly with AccountEdge 2015 and later.
AccountEdge Mobile syncs with AccountEdge Desktop via Dropbox.
Is AccountEdge Connect Secure?
AccountEdge Connect is hosted by Rackspace, the data center of choice for more than 60% of Fortune 100 companies and 200K businesses worldwide. When you enter data into AccountEdge Connect we use 256-bit secure socket layer (SSL) technology to encrypt transmission of your data to our servers. This is the same level of security used by banks and other institutions. Sensitive data (including merchant account credentials) are encrypted using AES and AccountEdge Connect does not store any credit card numbers. AccountEdge Connect only stores certain data that is synced from AccountEdge on your Mac/PC. It does not contain your complete company file.
How much does AccountEdge Connect cost?
