What is AccountEdge Hosted and a Cloud Desktop

AccountEdge Hosted is a hosted virtual desktop service. Essentially, a virtual server is configured and hosted in the cloud containing your virtual desktops. This may be a single cloud desktop or multiple cloud desktops depending on the number of users you require.

You can think of the offering as having a server in the cloud for your accounting and each user has their own desktop on this server where users can concurrently connect to their respective cloud desktop and open AccountEdge and run other applications.

Users connect to their cloud desktop using Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection on Windows or Microsoft Remote Desktop on Mac (both of which are free). When connecting, you’ll be presented with a full Windows 10 desktop experience which has AccountEdge Pro installed.

Your company file must reside on your virtual server/cloud desktop and if multiple users are required, the company file should be placed in a Public user directory, shared directory or an optional attached storage account (additional fee required).
