AccountEdge Pro NE (macOS 10.15+): Connection via IP and Port

Locating the IP Address and Port Number

After installing AccountEdge Pro Network Edition and File Connect, navigate to System Preferences and you will see an AccountEdge icon at the bottom of the window. This icon is the File Connect application.

Open the application. The computer’s IP address will be displayed on the Start/Stop tab. FileConnect should be started. Make note of this IP address.

Click on the Port Number tab: You will see a port number displayed here. You may assign a static port of any number between 49152 and 65535. When connecting via IP address and port, the port will need to be assigned.

Connecting AccountEdge Network Edition

1. Open AccountEdge Network Edition.

2. At the Welcome screen, choose "Browse"

3. Enter the IP and Port number from previous steps and click Connect.

4. The company file(s) will be displayed, after connecting. Highlight the file that you wish to open and the click Open in the lower right corner.
