Deleting an Approved Credit Card Payment

Once a credit card payment has been approved in AccountEdge it is normally not possible to delete it. The programs prevents this for security reasons (deleting the credit card payment does not mean you haven't charged your customer through Forte). If there was an issue with the payment and you need do want to delete it you can do so by:

  1. Go to Setup > Credit Card Processing > Setup Credit Card Processing from the menu bar at the top of the screen
  2. Uncheck the box next to "Credit Card Processing of Customer Payments"
  3. Delete the payment in question
  4. Go to Setup > Credit Card Processing > Setup Credit Card Processing from the menu bar at the top of the screen
  5. Check the box next to "Credit Card Processing of Customer Payments"

NOTE: In normal circumstances this should not be necessary and approved credit card payments should not be deleted.
