Shopify Location & Quantities

AccountEdge has the ability to define for each item the default location that Shopify Orders are shipping from, and define how the inventory management is synced with Shopify. There are two different sections that the item locations are divided into:

  • Shopify Locations & Quantities: There are two subsections to Shopify Locations & Quantities
    • Default Location: This is the default location AccountEdge will pull inventory from if you sync with Shopify. So if Shopify needs 5 items on the Web Store, it will take it from the default location you have selected.
    • AccountEdge Reserved Quantity: This is to reserve a specific amount in AccountEdge. Once the reserved amount is reached, it will no longer sync anymore quantity up to Shopify.
  • General Locations & Quantities: This is the locations for use in AccountEdge. It allows you to choose the default location for when you receive inventory in, and also the default location it should come out of when you sell the item.

Setting up a Shopify Default Location:

To setup a Shopify default location:

  1. Select Item List from the Inventory Module
  2. Click the white arrow next to the item
  3. Select the Locations tab
  4. Enter the Default Location to be used for this item when downloading orders from Shopify

Reserving Stock for In-Store Sales Only:

To set a specific quantity to keep for In-Store sales only:

  1. Select Item List from the Inventory Module
  2. Click the white arrow next to the item
  3. Select the Locations tab
  4. Enter the In-Store Reserve amount into the AccountEdge Reserved Qty field

Setting a Maximum Quantity to be synced to Shopify:

AccountEdge can sync Stock Quantities to Shopify and define the maximum number of items that should be synced.
To setup Quantity Tracking in Shopify:

  1. Select Item List from the Inventory Module
  2. Click the white arrow next to the item
  3. Select the Locations tab
  4. Turn on the option for Track Inventory In Shopify
  5. In the Target box, enter the maximum quantity that should be synced to Shopify*
  6. Enable the box Allow out-of-stock sales if you wish to sell more than the available amount

*The maximum will be used when the quantity available is greater than the target set.
