Updating in a multi-user environment

Planning to update in a multi-user environment?

The latest US update to AccountEdge included a new subscription-based feature called AccountEdge Bank Feeds which enables you to automatically sync in banking and credit card transactions directly from your bank and credit card providers.

Because of this, you are required to do a mid-year upgrade to your AccountEdge company file. If you are using AccountEdge in a multi-user environment, here are some best practices to follow:

  • The upgrade process is the same as the process you follow when we release year-end product upgrades. Upgrading Company File
  • Only one user needs to upgrade the AccountEdge company file. We recommend changing the name of the file to make it uniquely identifiable to all your networked users.
  • All your users need to update AccountEdge to be on the same version.
