How does AccountEdge Hosted work?
An AccountEdge Hosted cloud desktop works just like a physical desktop but hosted in the cloud. Your company file is stored on a secure cloud desktop server so that users from any location can access your AccountEdge company file and collaborate in the accounting process.
Can I use AccountEdge Hosted on Mac and Windows?
The AccountEdge company file is cross-platform, meaning users can run on Mac, Windows, or a mix of both once the file is uploaded to their Windows 10 cloud desktop.
Can I use my existing payroll plan and other addons with AccountEdge Hosted?
If you’re enrolled in the payroll add on, you can continue to run payroll and receive updates and upgrades just as you have been. If you’re enrolled in a Merchant Account service, you would process credit cards without any additional setup. Just migrate your company file up to your virtual desktop and use AccountEdge just as you have in the past.
Do All Your Users Need Full Access?
When determining how many Hosted users you’ll need, don’t forget AccountEdge Connect. While full-access users require an AccountEdge Hosted license, any users who require limited access should assess their needs vs. AccountEdge Connect’s capabilities; potentially saving money.
